Oliver Allen (Ollie for friends) is the thirteen-year-old protagonist of Ollie's Pack voiced by James Hartnett, based on Morty from Monster Pack. He is Pyper Allen's older brother and the only son of June Allen and Mr. Allen, whose real name was never announced. Ollie is the Keeper of the Pack, i.e Chosen One — he must protect Earth from monsters, who make their way to our planet through portals that can randomly appear anywhere. AppearanceOllie is a teen boy of medium height and slim build. He has bushy fiery orange hair and light skin. There is a gap in his teeth. He wears an orange-and-yellow T-shirt, gray-purple jeans and crimson boots. He carries the Monster Pack. Personality!WARNING:This paragraph contains spoilers! Official description"He’s an ordinary, impulsive and creative kid." — TV guide says. Description according to the epsSelfishnessApparently, Ollie has signs of narcissist syndrome. Sometimes he can be selfish, concerned only with himself and his feelings. However, even despite this, he values his friends and would not trade them for anything, as we can see in The Chosening where he took a risk and regained his status of the Chosen One in order to save Bernie and CW who were trapped on Andre and Bev’s ship and in Cube is the Loneliest Number where Ollie, having broken the rule on purpose, ended up with Dark Cube so that he could help Ollie to save his friends from the vain bounty hunter, Ashlor. JusticeIn the end of The Janitor, he behaved fairly. His theories were true - the school's new janitor turned out to be a monster. But Ollie stuffed him into his Backpack without any proof, even before he knew the truth. As a result, he may have realised his guilt and completed the task that Horbladge gave him and his friends (clean the school instead of him). ImpulsivitySometimes Ollie does rash and stupid things, which contributes to the development of the plot. Riskiness and Decisiveness Bernie hides behind Ollie In the final episode, realising the danger of the situation (when they were stumped by monsters), he behaved calmly and didn’t panic, unlike Bernie. Although he is not the smartest, he can be quite decisive and collected in those situations. Relationships ”I do want everyone to like me — you most of all!” Ollie has a prolonged crush on Ivy as revealed in Crush it Ollie, when he wants to impress her so much so that he almost destroys the school thanks to the Fungus Monster. But in Separation Anxiety, he admits that he wants to impress Cleo as well, and accroding to his words, that’s actually the reason why he can be so irresistible around her. He is close friends with Cleo and Bernie. But apparently, Ollie has a longer friendship with Cleo than with Bernie, this can be understood from the Yard Sale Fail episode where he and Cleo were remembering their childhood with their old toys — horsey cops, while Bernie said nothing about it. It is also can be seen that Ollie and Cleo live actually close to each other, so not surprising they’re so close as friends. He’s in good relationships with CW — his mentor and friend. Ashlor is in love with him. She told him “I love you” several times and called him a “cutie-patootie” in the Part One, sending him an air kiss afterward. Design and Development Pedro Eboli’s drawing Depiction in the seriesNew Kid on CampusOllie woke up forcefully at the ringing of the alarm clock, clearly not wanting to get up. But he had to. His mentor asks Ollie to go to school with him, and he agrees. In the school, CW insults Magna, which causes Ollie some problems. The next day the boy decides not to take his friend to school, but he comes himself, eventually causing envy by stealing Ollie’s “social thunder” when CW plays with his classmates. Eventually, the envy leads to a Ball-Wall competition to prove who is better. Ollie naturally wins, and is about to take the final shot, but comes to his senses, saying he can't do it. SkillsWeaponsDone Weapons Ollie tries to shoot a cardboard monster with a slingshot Ollie tries to catch the monster with laser gloves Ollie threw a net over Cleo He has trapped himself duh Monster WeaponsMaybe he doesn’t know how to use other weapons, but he definitely knows how to use Hydra (unofficial name) - a snake-like monster with three heads that can cling to objects with its teeth. Ollie’s preparing to throw Hydra In The Chosening he learned how to use the Parachute - a jellyfish-like monster that can be opened by pulling the ring under the left strap of the Backpack. LanguagesAccording to Major Snooch, there are 7 monster languages in total. Ollie doesn't know any of them, even though apparently he must to know them all to communicate with monsters, just in case. Ollie reads a book Monster-taming skillsThere are not so many scenes with taming - just one. Ollie was able to tame Fuzzy, thanks to CW’s advice. He and Cleo are sitting on big doggie However, there are his merits here too: he figured out what he needed to do so that he and his friends would not be eaten by this monster. Monster-capturing skillsHe is fast and agile, which helps him dodge and run away from monsters. He usually catches them with the help of his pals. And as shown in Major Snooch, Ollie is much better at catching monsters without any weapons. AbilitiesIn Not Another Superhero Movie, he can fly, but only under the influence of the Classic Superhero Orb Monster. Forms There are around 20 Ollie’s forms and costumes that are shown. Appearing in the seriesOllie Allen was present in all episodes.
